Citizen Ambassadors are international advocates with a mandate to voice their concern – through the United Nations – to government leaders on global priority issues. Five of them were selected as the result of a UN-sponsored international video competition. Their role is to call attention to what they feel is important in the world and to explain how they think it can be made a better and safer place. For two years — starting in September 2009 – the Citizen Ambassadors will also actively seek to use their unique status to remind us all of existing commitments to achieve the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

So why this website?
We are learning, every day, through every conversation, with every article we see, every book we read, and every rumor we hear. There is a great deal we do not know, but in time we hope to even remotely understand this world. How can we learn if we refuse to share?
